Grow Your Wine Sales Launched with 25 years of history behind it.
Robert and Kim Lopez began their journey into the hospitality industry by starting their education at the Culinary Institute of America back in 1981 and graduated in 1983. Robert grew up in the restaurant business and Kim had a passion for cooking. They continued on to Florida International University and finished a four year degree in hospitality management. While doing that, they got married, put themselves through school and had a baby. It was school during the day and waiting on tables and cooking at night for Robert full-time and Kim part-time.
Robert developed a passion for wine by going to many wine tastings and continually studied to learn more and more about wine. Kim new very little about wine. She wanted to, but with school, work and children she found very little time. Kim wished there was a crash course that she could take to convert more wine sales and pocket more money.
Years past and both held various positions in hospitality including wine sales, management, business development and hotel sales. It wasn’t until a move down to Florida, that Kim wanting to do something different and give back to the hospitality industry. Selecting an area of frustration to go after and help educate, was an easy choice for them. That was the beginning of GrowYourWine Sales.com. It has been almost a 2 year process to develop the training materials, get the website up and learn the technology needed to implement the free online wine training. “Why free?” you ask? They want to reach as many people as possible and hope that all restaurants will see the value of the wine training. In the future there will be a charge for more advance wine training and consulting programs. The site will be continually be updated and wine tools will be added on an ongoing basis.
